Remembering Steve Jobs
I’m a fan of Steve Jobs.
So this morning has been quite emotional for me. I admire Steve for his vision, his design (awesome awesome awesome), and his commitment to make excellent product. His life really inspired me to become a better designer, to keep pushing the boundaries, to keep improving, to make better things, to make a difference in this world.
So.. I leave you today with inspiring quotes from this inspiring man. He definitely leave the world in a better place than when he first came.
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
—Stanford Commencement Speech, 2005
Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me … Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful… that’s what matters to me.
—The Wall Street Journal, 1993

I am now a big fan of Steve Jobs. I’m slow on this one. I knew who he was, but I didn’t really learn about him till his death and I got obsessed about learning about him! I started reading to learn more about him. What a big loss… He’s such an inspiration. I agree with you. I love his designs. I admire his diligence. Thanks for the quotes.
